Falcons Earn Right to Nationals
The university’s Falcons precision flight team took second place in the National Intercollegiate Flying Association Region IX Safety and Flight Evaluation Conference. Florida Tech hosted the 2003 regional event on campus.

Driving with Panther Pride
Florida Tech President Anthony J. Catanese was the first to purchase a Florida Tech Panthers license plate, which went on sale at all Florida auto tag offices in December 2003. Most of the proceeds return to the university.

Farber Earns Contract, Grant
Dr. Philip Farber, associate professor of psychology, was awarded a Fellsmere Medical Center Behavioral Health Contract of over $50,000 to provide services to the primarily Hispanic, migrant worker community of Fellsmere, Fla. Farber also won a $86,400 grant from the Bureau of Health Professions, Department of Health and Human Services. The funding will help prepare doctoral students for integrated health service work with underserved
populations.
