1970
William Willmot was nominated by the International Biographical Centre in Cambridge, England as the International Educator of the Year 2004. He and wife Florence reside in Merritt Island, Fla.

1976
Bob Walesch is the vice president and general manager of the new Avitat Boca Raton airport in Florida.

William Oigarden is currently assisting individuals with chronic and acute mental health problems. He resides in Orlando, Fla., and can be reached at bill@oigarden.com.

1982
D. Duncan Owen sailed from San Francisco to New Zealand, arriving in November 2004. After exploring the north and south islands, he decided to stay there for a while. Duncan can be contacted at Duncan@sailwhisper.com or through his Web site www.sailwhisper.com.

1982
Paul Onorato and Robert Cotugno ’87 crewed together for a three-day trip with Southwest Airlines. Paul has been a captain with Southwest for eight years, after flying with the U.S. Navy for nine years. He lives in Alexandria, Va., based at Baltimore Washington International Airport. Robert is a First Officer for Southwest, since 2002. He has logged over 13,000 flight hours in various aircraft, and is also based at BWI. Robert lives in Albany, N.Y. with wife Steffani and three children, Lorenzo, Gigi, and Antonio.

Mike Hallenstein is an accountant with Goldstein Lewin in Deerfield Beach, Fla. He resides in Boca Raton, and can be reached at fmhallenstein@yahoo.com.

Scott Folstein and wife Renata celebrated the birth of their first child, Joseph Lawrence, in November 2004. The family lives in Jacksonville, Fla.

1991
Scott Twombley attended the 2005 Super Bowl with friends. He paid $2,800 for his ticket. Scott is now a senior marketing manager with Gillette in Boston, Mass., and lives in Sanbornville, N.H.

Paresh Shah M.S. and wife Rajul welcomed their first child, Arya in November 2004. The family lives near Chicago, Ill., where Paresh is an independent software contractor and his wife is a doctor at a VA hospital.

1992
Rico Reardon and Melissa Topping married in February 2004. They welcomed daughter Sydney Grace in November 2004. Rico is a captain for ASA/Delta Connection
in Dallas/Ft. Worth. His e-mail is ricoahp@sbcglobal.net.

Jim Langenbach received the NASA Gold Dollar Award and the NASA Exceptional Bravery Medal for rescuing a woman from her sinking car in a roadside canal at the Kennedy Space Center, Fla. He manages the Titusville office of Geosyntec Consultants, and was on his way to a job at KSC when he saw the car. He dove into the canal, broke the car window, and pulled the woman to safety. Jim’s wife Blanche, ’92 B.S., and their four children, Patrick, 17, Blanche, 6, and twins Sarah and Hannah, 4, are very proud of their very own ‘hero.’

1993
Tony Quintana married Maria Victoria Camuyrano in December 2004 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is an international business development manager for Smiths Aerospace in Germantown, Md.; the bride
is a store manager at Movado of Tyson’s Corner in Vienna, Va. The couple resides in Lansdowne, Va.

Lotfi Tadj Ph.D. is a professor at King Saud University in Saudi Arabia. He and his wife welcomed their son Ahmed Adam in October 2004.

1994
Eileen (Wolgast) Hetrick is an environmental regulatory consultant. Her husband Joseph ’93, is a captain with Jet Aviation Business Jets. They reside with their children, Brett and Meredith, in Farmingdale, N.J.

1997
Tanja (Sluzenski) Glynn ’99 M.B.A., and husband Damien welcomed their first child, Dylan Noel in September 2004. They both work for Rockwell Collins, where Tanja is a financial analyst and Damien is a reliability engineer. The family resides in Indialantic, Fla.








1999
Mary Charbonneau Psy.D. and Jim Oelschlager ’86 Psy.D., welcomed their son Willem James, in December 2004. The family resides in Palm Bay, Fla. Mary has taken a break from private practice to be a full-time mom. Jim continues to serve as Director of Counseling and Psychological Services at Florida Tech, as well as maintain his private practice and teaching duties.

2004
James Wesley McDaniel P.M.B.A. is working with Pitney Bowes in Knoxville, Tenn., where he will be doing project management work in the Enterprise Software Division. Wes and wife Melanie recently welcomed daughter Emily to the family.

Paul Sliwinski is working at Westchester County Municipal Airport in New York. Two other Florida Tech grads also are employed at the airport, Steve Roque, and James Cicardo. The trio share a house in Norwalk, Conn. Paul can be contacted at psliwinski@ekmail.com.

2005
Gregory Koumbis M.S. retired after 21 years as a naval aviator and intelligence officer. At present, he is a science and technology program manager for General Dynamics Corp. in Norfolk, Va., and resides in Virginia Beach. His e-mail is koumbis@cox.net.


IN MEMORIAM

Hi Sun Ko ’82 M.B.A. suffered a fatal heart attack in December 2004 in Edmonds, Wash. He was well-known for his weekly travel column in Korean-language newspapers, and reached out to immigrants with his poetry and essays. He is survived by his wife and two sons.

Paula Everman ’87 M.B.A. died unexpectedly in December 2004 while vacationing in Hawaii. She had been a freelance editor, after several years as human resources manager for the St. Petersburg Times. A resident of New Port Richey, Fla., Paula is survived by her mother, stepfather, sisters and brother.

Dr. Dorothy Dionne-Reed ’83 M.S. ’85 Psy.D. passed away in Winston-Salem, N.C. in October 2004. She was a licensed practicing psychologist in her own practice since 2001. Survivors include her husband, a son, and parents. Memorials can be sent to Hospice and Palliative Center, Winston-Salem, N.C.
