Welcome
to the new Florida Tech TODAY Magazine.
As this first edition is launched, the
editorial staff welcomes and invites your
letters to the editor.
I joined the Alumni Board January 1, 2002, and since that time have seen most
of the goals of the five-year plan we drew up that year achieved. Few are as
impressive as the publication of this magnificent magazine for our alumni.
It's hard to believe that Florida Tech has been without a dedicated alumni
periodical for almost 50 years.
My hat's off to Presidents Ken Revay,
Bob Arnold and George Poidomani and Alumni
Director Ken Droscher, each of whom played
an important part in getting this
essential goal achieved!

Congratulations to the alumni and university
team that developed and launched
our new alumni magazine. This has been a long-term goal of our Alumni Association.
As Florida Tech approaches its 50th anniversary, this magazine will reach
out to thousands of readers worldwide
to inform and educate on the accomplishments,
research, and educational and athletics programs conducted by our dedicated
students, faculty and alumni. I look forward to reading every issue.

I am really pleased and excited about
the new alumni magazine. Three
years of detailed planning and
endless meetings brought us to
this
new level in communications.
As the immediate past president of the
Alumni Association, I know the magazine
will increase the association’s exposure to our students, staff and
faculty, the at-large community and, most importantly, our alumni.
I
congratulate Ken Droscher, the Alumni House staff, the university personnel
in the communications and publications departments, and Dr. Catanese for
the dedication, belief in the magazine concept and hard work resulting
in the first issue. I look forward to future issues. Congratulations!
