1973


Roger “Mike” Clancy was awarded the Navy’s Superior Civilian Service Award for his work at the Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center in Monterey, Calif. He is chief scientist and deputy technical director of the center. He and wife Peggy live in Salinas, Calif.

1975


Daryl Yee Litt is director of sales and marketing for Harbor Aircraft Service and lives in San Juan Capistrano, Calif.

1977
Barbara Losson M.S. married Harry Thompson Jr. in November 2003. She retired as principal of Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy’s Upper School in Melbourne, Fla.

1980s
Six graduates are currently working at Northrop Grumman Ship Systems in Pascagoula, Miss. at the director level. Kevin Jarvis ’80 is director of facilities and maintenance; Tom Hertzke ’80 is director of producibility for the DD(X) ship program; Wynn Phillips ’81 is director of quality assurance and engineering; Deborah Cobb Felts ’81 is the director of strategic planning and operations director for the DDG ship program; Stephan Ross ’82 is the director of ship integration for the DD(X) program; and David Hill ’82 is a manager of engineering in full service operations.

1980

Timothy Sutton M.B.A. is a legal administrative specialist with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in St. Petersburg, Fla. He was named “Volunteer of the Year” at The Zoo in Gulf Breeze, Fla. for his educational and training leadership in the zoo’s docent program. He is working on his doctoral degree in educational leadership. Tim and wife Karen reside in Gulf Breeze.
Donald Fulop M.S., M.B.A. is vice president of business development for Lockheed Martin Technical Operations at the Colorado Springs, Colo. headquarters.

1982


Kevin McLaughlin works at Haemonetics Corp., supervising sterile IV bag filling and packaging operations. His family relocated to Chester, S.C. where they are restoring a 120- year-old Victorian home.

Steven Reuwer M.B.A. is employed by FPL Energy. He recently received an award from the American Wind Energy Association, “in recognition of his leadership in the successful execution of an industry-leading portfolio of wind generation projects.” Steven is the company’s senior director of wind power construction. He resides with his family in Hobe Sound, Fla.

Teena (Long) Cahil Psy.D. is in private practice in Princeton, N. J., where she resides with her husband, daughter and son-in-law, and grandchildren. She is a public speaker, bringing her “Let’s Reframe Superwoman!” to executives and business owners throughout the country.

1983


Cameron Arledge is executive vice president of Capital Risk, LLC, working on aviation and airline insurance accounts. He and wife, Lori, live in Leesburg, Va. with their children, Nathan, Alexis, and Holleigh. Cameron’s E-mail is csalja@adelphia.net.

Brian Tenney recently completed 18 months of duty at Fort Bragg, N.C. where he was brigade commander in charge of mobilizing reserve forces. He is now employed as the planning and tooling senior manager with Lockheed-Martin, and living in Alworth, Ga. with his wife and five children. Brian can be reached at brian.tenny@us.army.mil.

Douglas MacCullagh and wife Kitty live in Long Beach, Miss. where Doug is with the Naval Oceanographic Office as a computer scientist. He is working on Web services development in the systems integration division of the engineering department.

Doug Rillstone M.S., a partner attorney with Broad & Cassel of Tallahassee, Fla., was selected for the national directory, Chambers USA: A Guide to America’s Leading Business Lawyers. This is the only legal directory to rank law firms and individual lawyers.
Donald Disher has been a B727 captain with FedEx since 1996. He has a daughter, Heidi Kirsten, and resides in Memphis, Tenn.


1984


Al Gulamali B.S., M.B.A. has joined the Lee County Port Authority as manager of projects and technical systems at Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers, Fla.

1986


Linda Demarest is the director of benefits for the National Basketball Association. She lives in Wood-Ridge, N.J., and can be reached at eldeedee@aol.com.

Steven Pearson M.S. is deputy manager of the avionics department in the engineering directorate at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. He received NASA’s Outstanding Leadership Medal in July 2003 for development of state-of-the-art advanced technologies in support of NASA programs and projects.

1987
Joel Strasser, a computer systems administrator in Luverne, Minn., develops Web sites, and is developing a hydroponic greenhouse business. He and wife Terri are parents to Rebekah, 9; Benjamin, 7; Joel, 4; and Zion, 3.

1990

Daniel Williams Ph.D. has worked for TRW since 1987 in product engineering and strategic planning. He authored five technical papers and received more than 10 patents in automotive suspension and steering. He, wife Christina, and children Grant and Elizabeth, live in Lebanon, Ind.

1992


Mark Werner is chief pilot for EMJ Corporation in Chattanooga, Tenn. He, wife Tammy and daughters Abigail and Emilie, recently welcomed a third daughter, Ellie Christine. Mark can be contacted at

Alicia (Fleury) Maricle continues to fly for American Airlines. Her husband Jon is flying for Frontier Airlines. Along with their 2-year-old son J.P., they welcomed Justin Kent in March 2004.

David Sweigert M.S. is director of information assurance for Data Systems Analysts Inc. in Pennsauken, N. J.

1994


Cindy (Pizza) Wilson left the U.S. Army in July after nine years on active duty. She and husband Chris welcomed daughter Melanie Nicole in Feb. 2004. The family has settled in Falls Church, Va. where Chris works in the Office of the Army Surgeon General.

David Cook M.S. has been named a fellow of ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers). He is retired, and resides in Blairsville, Ga.

Craig Coleman received an M.Ed. in school library media from the State University of West Georgia. He is the media specialist at Mundy’s Mill Middle School, where he has taught science for three years.

Crystallee (Moffett) Muñoz earned an M.S. in engineering and production management. She and husband Carlos are employed by Boeing Company. Son Diego was born in April 2004, and joins sister Victoria. The family lives in Los Angeles, Calif.

Steven Barrow and wife Kate announce the birth of their first child, Jessica Rosalyn in June. They relocated from Houston, Texas to Jupiter, Fla. where Steve is an engineer with Perry Slingsby Systems, a company specializing in remotely operated vehicles and subsea robotics.

1997


Paul Douglas started an electronic journal for space operations, Space Operations Communicator. Visit the journal at www.aiaa.org/tc/sos/communicator. A quarterly publication, it features many topics, from breakthroughs to surveys on space operations, to space history.





1998


Bob Pratt received the 2003 Employee of the Year award from Advanced Media Design based in Thousand Oaks, Calif. He has been employed at the company for three years in the research and development department.

Jimaye Sones M.S. is now the comptroller for the Defense Commissary Agency in Fort Lee, Va. He is responsible for all financial aspects of the agency’s retail sales and operating budgets.

1999


Vanessa (Greenbaum) DeVary and husband Mark welcomed Lauren Elizabeth on March 9, 2004. Mom is an electrical engineer for Raytheon, and the family resides in Sachse, Texas.

David W. Taylor has received his Professional Engineer Certification from the State of Florida. He is with Harris Civil Engineers in Winter Park, Fla.

Robyn (Whitton) Meckel and Brendan Meckel ’98 married in 2002. She is an 8th grade earth and space science teacher, and he is a pilot for Continental Airlines. The couple live in Nashua, N.H.

2000

Faraz Siddiquie M.S. married Nida Rizvi in September 2003. He is a software engineering manager for PeopleSoft Inc. in Denver, Co.

2001

Wayne Barker M.S. is currently studying at the Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. He was promoted to major in the U.S. Army prior to being assigned to the college. He and wife Delena have two sons, Farran, 4 and Jaden, 2.

Amanda (Francisco) Middlemiss resides in Panama City, Fla. where she is an officer and staff research biologist with the NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) Corps. at the NMFS Assessment Group.

2003

Robert Brodner M.S. and his wife welcomed son Matthew on July 3. Robert is a test engineer at Conexant Systems Inc. in Palm Bay, Fla. The family resides in Viera, Fla. and can be reached at rbrodner@robertbrodner.net.


IN MEMORIAM

Joseph V. Marto Jr. ’83 M.B.A., of Melbourne, Fla. passed away on June 2. He was a member of the board of directors of Colonial Bank and a former chairman of the board. Marto had a 46-year banking career, and at one time served on the Florida Tech School of Management Board of Overseers. He is survived by his wife, Carole, and two children.

Richard Walsh II ’85 B.S., M.B.A., passed away on June 19 in Melbourne, Fla. He is survived by his sister, Patricia, and mother, Phyllis, of Sebastian, Fla. He was a tax associate for H & R Block in Vero Beach. Donations may be made in his memory to emergency/trauma care at Holmes Regional Medical Center through the Health First Foundation, Holmes Regional Medical Center, 1355 S. Hickory Street, #203, Melbourne, FL 32901.

George Joseph Wiegman ’99 M.S., of Boonton, N.J., passed away suddenly on June 15 while working for Alpine Oceanographic Research off the shores of Staten Island, N.Y. George was the son of the late Marianne Wiegman and of Jan Wiegman and stepmother Janice Wiegman. Surviving siblings are Rebecca Smith, James Island, S.C.; Monique Usher and Vincent Wiegman, Asheville, N.C.; and Peter Wiegman of Wrightsville Beach, N.C.
